Who Has Had an Impact on my Life

A mother is what most Young girls use as their role model or the person they look up to for reasons such as being strong, smart, or loving. Ironically I look up to my mother for the exact opposite. Instead of learning from my own mistakes I have learned from hers. It sounds weird but I am grateful for her mistakes because with out them I would not be the person I am today.

All that my mother has taught me was taught through an indirect way. She never was really their to teach me write from wrong but I knew that I did not want to end up like her so I had to do everything different. My mother didn't pass the eighth grade so my main priority became school, I challenged myself constantly in the academics as well as socially through various groups and clubs.

My mother has shown me how short life really is and that if you want to excel you need to make good choices and live life to the fullest. Out of all the negative aspects of her life I have gained so much positive motivation that has given me the drive and determination to fulfill my dreams at whatever the costs.

Even though my mother was not there for me as most mothers are for their children, she has still had a part in raising a strong and intelligent young lady. The impact she has had on my life is so significant and I am so proud to have her as a mother.
